Raymond Weil Freelancer Cushion 2490-SCS-50051 Women's Watch

The Raymond Weil Freelancer 2490-SCS-50051 (popularly known within the watch community as the "Freelancer Cushion", "Form Watch", or "Diamond Bezel Cushion") is a high-luxury Swiss automatic ladies' timepiece. Reimagining traditional watch geometry through a modern lens, this model merges a soft square cushion-shaped case with sparkling gem-set craftsmanship. Designed for contemporary women who appreciate mechanical prestige, radiant diamond aesthetics, and fine Swiss watchmaking, it delivers an authoritative executive statement that transitions effortlessly from everyday luxury to formal evening occasions. The defining visual highlight of this reference is its fixed stainless steel bezel set with 60 brilliant-cut laboratory-grown diamonds (totaling ~0.40 carats, VVS2 to VS1 clarity) that frame a gradient blue dial. The dial is embellished at the center with a signature "W" motif guilloché pattern that pays tribute to the Raymond Weil brand heritage. High-visibility baton hour markers and slender hands coated with white Super-LumiNova ensure legibility in low-light conditions, while a discrete date window sits at the 3 o'clock position. Beneath its diamond-adorned exterior, the watch is powered by the Swiss-made Raymond Weil Calibre RW4200 self-winding mechanical movement. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour with 26 jewels, this self-winding engine delivers precise timekeeping, second-hand hacking for exact synchronization, and a dependable power reserve of up to 41 hours. The watch housing is meticulously crafted from marine-grade 316L stainless steel featuring a combination of polished bevels and vertical brushed surfaces. Protecting the display is a scratch-resistant synthetic sapphire crystal enhanced with dual-sided anti-reflective coating for glare-free readability. A snapped exhibition caseback featuring a sapphire display window reveals the decorated automatic movement and custom "W" shaped oscillating weight. Sealed with a fluted crown bearing the RW monogram, the case achieves a certified 100-meter (10 bar / 330 ft) water resistance rating, ensuring versatility for daily wear and swimming. The watch is completed on a blue genuine calfskin leather strap adorned with W-shaped accent stitching and secured by a stainless steel folding deployment clasp with a double-push security system.
