Raymond Weil Freelancer Automatic Cushion Diamond 2490-SCS-52051 Women's Watch

The Raymond Weil Freelancer 2490-SCS-52051 (popularly known among luxury watch enthusiasts and collectors by its series nicknames, the "Freelancer Cushion", "Freelancer Form Watch", "Freelancer Diamond", or "Freelancer Emerald") is a stunning, modern Swiss-made automatic timepiece from the acclaimed Freelancer collection. Reimagining traditional watch geometry through a bold contemporary lens, this 34.5mm x 34.5mm creation pairs an architectural cushion-shaped stainless steel housing with a sparkling halo of 60 brilliant-cut diamonds and an eye-catching gradient green sector dial. Designed for dynamic women who celebrate personal independence and horological sophistication, it delivers an ideal blend of luxurious jewelry aesthetics, mechanical artistry, and everyday versatility. The defining visual highlight of this 2490-SCS-52051 reference is its captivating gradient green dial face framed by a fixed stainless steel bezel set with 60 genuine diamonds. The dial transitions in color from a vibrant emerald hue at the center to deep dark green around the perimeter, decorated with a subtle stamped W-shaped geometric motif—a homage to the Maison Raymond Weil. Applied silver-tone index hour markers and slender hands filled with white Super-LumiNova ensure optimal legibility, while a clean date window at the 3 o'clock position adds practical daily functionality. Beneath its artistic exterior, the watch is driven by the Swiss-made Raymond Weil Calibre RW4200 mechanical automatic movement (built on a proven Swiss automatic platform). Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with 26 synthetic jewels, this self-winding engine delivers a reliable power reserve of approximately 38 to 41 hours. The movement's mechanical operation and signature W-shaped oscillating weight can be admired through the transparent sapphire exhibition caseback. The square cushion-shaped housing measures 34.5mm in case width by 34.5mm in length with a sleek profile thickness of 9.3mm, offering comfortable, ergonomic wrist presence. The fixed bezel is lavishly adorned with 60 natural brilliant-cut diamonds (~0.50 ct total weight) that catch the light from every angle. Dial protection is provided by a scratch-resistant flat sapphire crystal featuring dual-sided anti-reflective coating. Engineered for enhanced durability, the case features a screw-down exhibition caseback and a push/pull crown engraved with the RW monogram, achieving an impressive 100-meter (10 bar / 330 ft) water resistance rating suitable for daily wear, swimming, and water splashes. The timepiece comes completed on a supple green genuine calfskin leather strap, secured by a stainless steel folding clasp equipped with a double push-security system.
