Raymond Weil Millesime Automatic Chronograph 7765-STC-50651 Men's Watch

The Raymond Weil Millesime 7765-STC-50651 (popularly known among watch enthusiasts and luxury horology collectors by its series nicknames, the "Millesime Sector Dial", "Millesime Tri-Compax", "Millesime Chronograph", or "Millesime Midnight Blue") is an award-winning, neo-vintage Swiss-made automatic chronograph timepiece. Expanding the GPHG-honored Millesime collection with athletic elegance and mechanical sophistication, this 39.5mm watch pairs a multi-finished stainless steel case with a deep midnight blue sector dial, contrasting silver tri-compax sub-dials, and a supple blue calfskin leather strap featuring signature W-stitched detailing. Designed for discerning gentlemen who appreciate mid-century horological charm, clean mechanical lines, and expressive chronograph complications, it transitions effortlessly from executive business wear to formal evening occasions. The defining visual highlight of this 7765-STC-50651 reference is its deep midnight blue sector dial face decorated with three silver snailed counters in a classic reverse-panda configuration. Set beneath a vintage glassbox sapphire crystal, the dial features distinct concentric finishing zones—a vertically satin-brushed central section decorated with light blue Arabic numerals on the sub-dials, an outer snailed minute track, and a white peripheral tachymeter scale. Slender dauphine hands and hour indices treated with white Super-LumiNova ensure clear legibility day and night. Beneath its vintage exterior, the watch is driven by the Swiss-made Raymond Weil Calibre RW5030 mechanical automatic chronograph movement (built on the proven Sellita SW510 architecture). Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with 27 synthetic jewels, this self-winding engine delivers an impressive extended power reserve of approximately 62 hours. The movement's refined finishing, blued screws, perlage, and custom W-shaped oscillating weight can be admired through the transparent sapphire exhibition caseback. The round stainless steel housing measures 39.5mm in case width with a profile thickness of 12.9mm, offering excellent wrist balance and low-profile ergonomics for a mechanical chronograph. The case showcases a juxtaposition of textures, with a vertically satin-brushed bezel contrasting against highly polished bevels. Dial protection is provided by a box-shaped glassbox sapphire crystal featuring dual-sided anti-reflective coating for scratch protection and optimal legibility. Engineered for daily wearability, the case includes a fluted push/pull crown engraved with the RW monogram, achieving a certified 50-meter (5 bar / 165 ft) water resistance rating to safeguard against daily rain and hand washing. The timepiece comes completed on a supple blue genuine calfskin leather strap detailing tonal stitching and a unique W-stitched accent, secured by a stainless steel pin buckle.
