Raymond Weil Millesime Automatic Moon Phase 2945-PC5-50001 Men's Watch

The Raymond Weil Millesime 2945-PC5-50001 (popularly known among watch enthusiasts and luxury horology collectors by its series nicknames, the "Millesime Sector Dial", "Millesime Moon Phase", "Millesime Rose Gold", or "Millesime Midnight Blue") is an award-winning, neo-vintage Swiss-made automatic timepiece. Expanding the GPHG-honored Millesime collection with watchmaking's most poetic complication, this 39.5mm watch pairs a warm rose gold PVD-plated stainless steel case with a deep midnight blue sector dial and a supple genuine calfskin leather strap featuring signature W-stitched detailing. Designed for discerning gentlemen who appreciate mid-century horological charm, clean mechanical lines, and expressive complications, it transitions effortlessly from executive business wear to formal evening occasions. The defining visual highlight of this 2945-PC5-50001 reference is its rich midnight blue sector dial face decorated with a whimsical moon phase complication at 6 o'clock. Set beneath a retro glassbox sapphire crystal, the dial features three distinct concentric finishing zones—a vertically satin-brushed central section decorated with a delicate crosshair motif, a smooth hour track with rose gold-tone indices, and an outer snailed minute track. The moon phase disk depicts a discreetly smiling human-faced moon surrounded by Super-LumiNova-coated stars, while slender rose gold-tone dauphine hands treated with white Super-LumiNova ensure clear legibility day and night. Beneath its vintage exterior, the watch is driven by the Swiss-made Raymond Weil Calibre RW4280 mechanical automatic movement (built on the proven Sellita SW280-1 caliber architecture). Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with 26 synthetic jewels, this self-winding engine delivers a reliable power reserve of approximately 38 to 41 hours. The movement's precise mechanical operation and signature W-shaped oscillating weight can be admired through the transparent sapphire exhibition caseback. The round rose gold PVD-plated stainless steel housing measures 39.5mm in case width with a sleek profile thickness of 10.05mm, offering exceptional comfort and low-profile wrist presence. The case showcases a refined juxtaposition of textures, with a vertically satin-brushed bezel contrasting against highly polished bevels. Dial protection is provided by a box-shaped glassbox sapphire crystal featuring dual-sided anti-reflective coating for scratch protection and optimal legibility. Engineered for daily wearability, the case includes a fluted push/pull crown engraved with the RW monogram, achieving a certified 50-meter (5 bar / 165 ft) water resistance rating to safeguard against daily rain and hand washing. The timepiece comes completed on a supple midnight blue genuine calfskin leather strap detailing tonal stitching and a unique W-stitched accent, secured by a rose gold PVD-plated stainless steel pin buckle.
