The (also referenced as NJ024055X) is a striking, contemporary Japanese mechanical dress timepiece from Citizen’s popular Automatic Collection. This 40mm watch pairs a solid stainless steel case with a vibrant sunray orange dial, a prominent open-heart window at 7 o'clock revealing the ticking mechanical movement, an off-centered running small seconds sub-dial at 4:30, a high-performance in-house automatic movement, an exhibition see-through caseback, a 50-meter water resistance rating, and an integrated solid stainless steel presidential-style bracelet. Designed for modern executives, watch collectors, and enthusiasts who appreciate mechanical transparency and bold wrist presence, it transitions effortlessly from corporate settings to formal evening occasions. The defining visual highlight of this NJ0240-55X reference is its vivid sunray orange dial face framed by a smooth, polished bezel. Set beneath a protective crystal, the dial features a captivating circular open-heart cut-out at 7 o'clock showcasing the mechanical movement's balance wheel in motion, an off-centered running small seconds sub-dial positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock, polished silver-tone hour markers, and faceted hands. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) across 21 jewels, this self-winding engine provides a 40-hour power reserve, maintaining smooth timekeeping performance driven entirely by the natural motion of the wearer's wrist. The case features classic sports-dress proportions, measuring 40.0mm in case width with a case profile thickness of 11.5mm, offering an ergonomic and well-balanced fit under tailored shirt cuffs. The reverse side features an exhibition see-through screw-down caseback displaying the internal mechanical movement in operation. Built for daily wear, the solid stainless steel case incorporates an offset crown at 4 o'clock and a solid case construction, achieving a certified 50-meter (5 bar / 165 ft) water resistance rating to safeguard against daily rain, splashes, and hand washing. The timepiece comes completed on an integrated stainless steel presidential-style link construction, secured by a solid fold-over deployment clasp with a push-button release mechanism.
